Thursday Night DFS

Thursday Night DFS

LA Chargers @ Oakland Raiders. Thursday night DFS is a little different to the Sunday slate if you’ve never played it before, we get a captain spot (Draft Kings) or MVP spot (Paddy Power) The rest of your roster is then packed out with flex spots.

The way to win here is to go against the grain, so here goes…

Chargers

Phillip Rivers, QB, Chargers, DK ($15000) PP ($14000)

The Raiders allowed a 400 yard passing game to Matthew Stafford recently and two 100 yard touchdowns. Rivers is Mr reliable as a quarterback, the same can be said for a certain Mr Stafford. Use Rivers in the flex as I could see him being widely used as the captain/MVP, you still get the exposure that way.

Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers, DK ($10800) PP ($13000)

Gordon looked like his old self against the Packers in week 9, rushing for 80 yards of 20 carries and 3 receptions for 29 yards with two touchdowns. Fire him up in a flex spot, against a Raiders team ranked 12th against the run.

Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers, DK ($13500) PP ($11000)

Allen has not gone over 61 yards in a game since Week 3 and hasn’t visited the end zone in the same amount of time. If he can’t break out against the Raiders secondary, I’d be shocked. (Captain/MVP)

Raiders

Derek Carr, QB, Raiders, DK ($14400) PP ($14500)

I want exposure to both quarterbacks in this game! Carr has now thrown for two or more touchdowns in five of his last six games. Fire Carr up in the flex against a Chargers defence ranked 12th versus quarterbacks.

Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders, DK ($9400) PP ($14500)

Jacobs workload alone makes him a must start here. Jacobs is projected to be the 5th highest scoring running back for the rest of the season. This week he gets a matchup that doesn’t scare you either, a Chargers defence ranked 22nd against the run. (Flex)

Zay Jones, WR, Raiders, DK ($2600) PP ($7000)

Is he out of his mind? Here me out! Jones led all Raiders wide receivers in snaps and routes run in week 9 playing 92% of the snaps. Jones has been highly talked about by Head Coach Jon Gruden. Jones could see his breakout this week against the Chargers ranked 9th against passing attempts. If the Chargers get up early expect Jones to have a big day. I know it’s risky but this is what I mean by going against the grain. (Captain/MVP)

Good luck
