Welcome to Ninety-Nine Yards: American Football for UK fans. Here you will find the latest news, as well as exclusive player interviews, and insight from leading experts.

Ninety-Nine Yards launched in 2018 and covers all aspects of American football from National Football League (NFL), Canadian Football League (CFL), Alliance of American Football (AAF), and College Football (CFB) to the grass roots of the game here in the UK with British American Football (BAFA).

Ninety-Nine Yards is also a weekly podcast hosted which features interviews with both current and former NFL stars and can listened to via Spreaker and Apple Podcasts.

Editors

  • Our Managing Editor is Liz Bhandari (aka NFLGirlUK). Liz has followed the game since 2012 and is a Seattle Seahawks fan. She is the host of the Ninety-Nine Yards podcast, the creator the weekly #NFLUKChat on Twitter, and organiser of the NFLUKFanMeetUp events.
  • Liz is supported by two deputy editors, Jonathan Payton and Duncan Terry who too are regulars on the podcast having joined the NFLGirlUK team in August 2016 before the rebrand in 2018.
    • Jonno is a New York Jets fan who has followed the game since 1984, and is our NFL historian.
    • Duncan is a Seattle Seahawks fan who has followed the game since 2007, and manages our social media activity.

National Football League (NFL)

  • Our NFC North reporter is Greg Forbes who covers Bears, Lions, Packers, and Vikings. Greg is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan who has followed the game since 2014.
  • Our NFC East reporter is Chris Milner who covers Redskins, Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants. He is one of our fantasy football correspondents. Chris is a Washington Redskins fan who has followed the game since 2011.
  • Our NFC South reporter is Stuart Anderson who covers Falcons, Panthers, Saints and Buccaneers. Stu is a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan who has followed the game since 1986.
  • Our NFC West reporters are Shona Duthie and Dave Bodymore who between them cover Cardinals, Rams, 49ers, and Seahawks. Shona is a Seattle Seahawks fan who has followed the game since 2012.
  • Our AFC North reporter is Jonathan Cumbleton who covers Ravens, Bengals, Browns, and Steelers. Johnny is a Philadelphia Eagles fan who has followed the game since 1990.
  • Our AFC East reporter is Alex Riley who covers Patriots, Dolphins, Jets, and Bills. Alex is a San Francisco 49ers fan who has followed the game since 2010.
  • Our AFC South reporter is Ben Rolfe who covers Texans, Colts, Jaguars, and Titans. Ben is a New England Patriots fan who has followed the game since 2006.
  • Our AFC West reporter is Oliver Hodgkinson who covers Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, and Raiders. Oli is a New England Patriots fan and Boston College Fan who has followed the game since 2010.

College Football (CFB)

  • Our College Football writing team is led by George Somerville. George supports college team Alabama, and is a Green Bay Packers fan who has followed the game since 1998.
  • Supporting George in covering all things College Football are our reporters Oliver Hodgkinson (as mentioned above), and Alex Chinery. Alex is a Green Bay Packers fan, who has followed the game since 2010. He began watching college football in 2014 and although he hasn’t yet chosen a team, he enjoys watching the Washington Huskies the most.

Canadian Football League (CFL)

  • Our Canadian Football League reporter is Chris Lawton.  Chris is a Miami Dolphins fan who has followed the game since 1982. He also supports the Toronto Argonauts.

  • Kadeem Simmonds is our Gaming reporter, who covers all things NCAA, Madden, and more. Kadeem is a Miami Dolphins fan who has followed the game since 2014.
  • Our Fantasy Football reporters are Rich King and Chris Milner (also NFC East reporter as mentioned above). Rich is a Green Bay Packers fan who has followed the game since 2014.
