Write for us

We’re looking for volunteer writers with a passion for the game and who are able to provide original opinions.

At Ninety-Nine Yards: American Football for UK fans, we’re looking for volunteer writers with a strong understanding of the game and who are able to provide original opinions.

All you need is a passion for the game and a eagerness to write. We’d like you to contribute two posts per week at a minimum during the season and one during the off-season, as well as bring ideas as part of a team. Knowledge of WordPress would be useful but not essential.

To start you will contribute 8-10 articles as guest pieces, so we can understand your style of writing and for you to decide whether it’s something you’d like to be a part of. When this has been completed, you will receive access to the site and your own profile on the about us page.

Whilst this is not a paid position and all roles are voluntary, there are incredible opportunities for you to have you work seen by a large following, you will have the chance to join in podcasts, attend NFLUK game training camps, and also the opportunity to interview stars of the game who recently have included Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Walter Jones, pundits Mike Carson, Marc Sessler and Nate Burleson, current players such as Stefon Diggs, Tyron Mathieu, Chris Long and many more….

Why write for Ninety-Nine Yards?

Below is what some of our writers, past and present, say about being part of the Ninety-Nine Yards team.

  • “If you’re passionate about American Football, and are looking for an opportunity to write about it, you could not ask for a better platform” Neil Dutton
  • “A great opportunity. Made some great friends and interviewed NFL players. What more can you ask for?” Kadeem Simmonds
  • “This year I achieved a life’s ambition, interviewing world famous sports stars and having my work out there for everyone to see. Great opportunities.” Duncan Terry

Fancy it?

If this sounds like something you’d like to get involved in then please send an email to [email protected] with links to your previous work.
