NFL Draft: NFC East Team Grades
Reading Time: 3 minutes.

Next up is the NFC East!

The NFC East saw some surprise decisions and picks. But, overall, all teams improved over the NFL Draft and as a division, they may have had the strongest class of them all.

Here are our NFC East draft grades.

Dallas Cowboys – A-

  • #12 – Micah Parsons – LB – Penn State
  • #44 – Kelvin Joseph – CB – Kentucky
  • #75 – Osa Odighizuwa – DT – UCLA
  • #84 – Chauncey Golston – DE – Iowa
  • #99 – Nahshon Wright – CB – Oregon State
  • #115 – Jabril Cox – LB – LSU
  • #138 – Josh Ball – OT – Marshall
  • #179 – Simi Fehoko – WR – Stanford
  • #192 – Quinton Bohanna – DT – Kentucky
  • #227 – Israel Mukuamu – CB – South Carolina
  • #238 – Matt Farniok – G – Nebraska

Defense, defense, defense! Much needed reinforcements were acquired, even after they missed out on the top CBs in round 1. The new LB duo of Micah Parsons and Jabril Cox might be the stand out picks.

New York Giants – B+

  • #20 – Kadarius Toney – WR – Florida
  • #50 – Azeez Ojulari – Edge – Georgia
  • #71 – Aaron Robinson – CB – UCF
  • #116 – Elerson Smith – Edge – Northern Iowa
  • #196 – Gary Brightwell – RB – Arizona
  • #201 – Rodarius Williams – CB – Oklahoma State

Trader Dave! The Giants pivoted to Kadarius Toney after the Eagles jumped them in round 1. They’ve accrued valuable 2022 capital but they have to hope their current o-line can maximise year 3 of Daniel Jones.

  • #10 – Devonta Smith – WR – Alabama
  • #37 – Landon Dickerson – C – Alabama
  • #73 – Milton Williams – DT – Louisiana
  • #123 – Zech McPhearson – CB – Texas Tech
  • #150 – Kenneth Gainwell – RB – Memphis
  • #189 – Marlon Tuipulotu – DT – USC
  • #191 – Tarron Jackson – DE – Coastal Carolina
  • #224 – JaCoby Stevens – S – LSU
  • #234 – Patrick Johnson – Edge – Tulane

A bold move secured Devonta Smith in round 1 and Landon Dickerson could be central to their o-line for years to come. If he can stay fit. The Eagles are rebuilding so these rookie will have to make an impact on day 1.

Washington Football Team – A

  • #19 – Jamin Davis – LB – Kentucky
  • #51 – Sam Cosmi – OT – Texas
  • #74 – Benjamin St Juste – CB – Minnesota
  • #82 – Dyami Brown – WR – North Carolina
  • #124 – John Bates – TE – Boise State
  • #163 – Darrick Forrest – S – Cincinnati
  • #225 – Camaron Cheeseman – LS – MIchigan
  • #240 – Will Bradley-King – DE – Baylor

This is now a well-rounded young roster and their first four picks were as good value as any taken in this year’s draft. Dyami Brown in round 3 added to an increasingly dynamic offense – are they now only short of their long-term QB?
