Tomorrow’s BAFA’s U17 National Finals details

As Britball gains in popularity it is pleasing to see the under seventeens game is also making great forward strides together with some teams reaching out to schools to encourage participation in the sport we all love.

One big difference between the game played here and in the United States is over there the players grow up from aged six with football and by the time they reach adulthood, the game has become second nature to them.

On these shores, the players are not usually exposed to playing football until it is too late for their bodies to adapt to a proper training regime. That is all changing, and it can only be for the good of the game in the UK and benefit its development so for the game to continue to prosper, these finals should be supported.

With the conclusion of U17 season, BAFA has announced the National Finals will be held at the University of Derby Sports Centre which offers five 5v5 fields to allow games to be played simultaneously in a knockout format. This Saturday’s August 4 show piece of youngster involved in the game should be supported by all football fans to encourage the development of the game.

Onside Productions will be streaming the action, so please search YouTube for “British American Football – Under 17s National Championship 2018” and tune in.
