STRENGTHS

- A great possession receiver
- Has fantastic athleticism
- Is a smooth route runner
- Has a sharp change of direction
- Has an expansive route tree which attacks all levels of the field.

- Large catch radius to craw down passes
- Tracks the ball in the air really well and has amazing instincts
- Is flexible and bendy and has amazing control in contested catch situations
- Exceptional effort as a blocker.
- As a run blocker, he can burst into his block and drive opponent, opening up lanes
- As a pass blocker, he shows the ability to seal edges, he just needs to develop and do it more consistently.
WEAKNESSES
- Lacks any strength profile. It means he is unlikely to be able to translate his blocking skills as well against bigger NFL players
- Lacks any real technique and can be too reckless as a pass protector and gets beat too easily
- Blocking was inconsistent in college which he will not get away with in the NFL
- For his position, he is slightly smaller and lighter than you would expect.
- Is still relatively new to football and is still developing, has only played 6 seasons of football
- Is therefore an older prospect.
SUMMARY
Dalton Kincaid is an exceptional pass-catching tight end who is reliable and consistent but also explosive in his catching ability. He runs smooth and sharp routes and he can change direction instantly with his fluid movement skills. He is still a raw prospect having only played football since 2017 but he has shown great development and natural talent to be so good so early. His best football is still in front of him and Kincaid should be able to replicate his receiving success on an NFL team
